Tree REMOVAL
Tree preservation is always our goal, but our job includes tree removals as well. We never remove healthy trees unless they are imminently hazardous to humans. What makes a hazardous tree? Sometimes trees just die due to age, disease, or human actions (like soil compaction, roots severed during construction, even improper pruning). Sometimes trees are planted in unfortunate places, planted too close to homes, in small parking strips, and they outgrow their space. We pride ourselves on our ability to do large removals with low impact. We are experienced working with cranes, and have a wonderful associate who owns and operates a crane safely. We try to repurpose wood from removals as best we can, not always just for firewood! We encourage our clients to leave "habitat snags" with their tree removal to maintain homes and food for critters even after the risk has been removed. In such habitat snags we can carve bird boxes and perches to attract some feathered friends. We also have a portable Alaskan (chainsaw) mill, and do some chainsaw carving as well. We work with Portland Urban Forestry to apply for and obtain permits, so you don't have to! Contact us today if you have a dead, dying, or potentially diseased or dangerous tree and we can come take a look and discuss everything with you!
