What is the difference between trimming and pruning? We see it as human vs. tree needs. We need to trim trees to be able to live around them, create clearance for roofs, powerlines, streets, etc. Pruning is work we do to assure the safety of  the tree, for the tree. We make healthy cuts and reduce over-extending limbs so that we can prevent limb failures that, when happening too often, can be a place for rot, decay, and pathogens to enter a tree. We also do species-specific pruning, for fruit production, to limit fruit production, ornamental pruning for aesthetics, and more! We are more than happy to come take a look at your trees, suggest anything we may recommend - and sometimes, that is absolutely nothing and the tree is best off left alone!
